Try these quick fixes on your Laptop before coming to the IT Helpdesk if your Laptop is having issues with:
- Applications are not connecting or loading properly
- Internet not working
*Note - If the problem is on an iPad, turn the Wifi off and back on, and check the WiFi is joined to our Glasshouse Network
Restart the Laptop (I know, it's an IT cliche but it can really help!)
Reconnect WiFi
Turn the Wifi off and back on, then check your WiFi is joined to the Glasshouse Network.
Clear Cache
If you are using Google Chrome, click on the word "Chrome" up in the top left of your screen next to the Apple Logo and select Clear Browsing Data…
In the window that pops up, deselect the option to clear Browsing History, but leave the other two options selected and click the blue Clear data button
Quit Chrome and restart it.

A bit more advanced...
Reset #1 (SMC)
Shut down your Laptop.
Hold [SHIFT], [OPTION] and [CONTROL] on the left side, then press the [POWER] button, hold all keys down for 10 seconds then release all all keys
Turn your Laptop on normally.
Reset #2 (NVRAM / PRAM)
Shut down your Laptop, then turn it on and immediately press and hold these four keys together: Option, Command, P, and R.
You can release the keys after about 20 seconds, or after the second startup sound.
